Every year, the subject of breast cancer awareness is highlighted worldwide in the month of October. This time it was marked in Ethiopia under a theme ‘’Preventing breast cancer starts with having a self-breast cancer examination’’. With this in regard, vital information such as symptoms of breast cancer and techniques of self-breast cancer examination is being disseminated using the main media streams of the country.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Addis Ababa bureau of Clinton Health Access Initiative and St. Paul Hospital carried out a three-day breast cancer screening service to the residents of the Addis Ababa City with free of charge.
